License Activation Problem 'Sorry, activation not for this machine'

Problem

When activating CrossWorks you get the error message 'Sorry, activation is not for this machine.'

This means that CrossWorks does not recognise the device that you originally locked the license too. The devices are recognised by MAC address. This problem can occur if the MAC address of the device used is not static as with many virtual adapters such as those used with VPN's.

Solution

To fix this problem ensure that you use a static device and not a virtual adapter. If all else fails choose the 'Priamry operating system disk' option.
