    Make sure the ST-Link/V2 is not being used by another program.

    If you are using Windows, make sure the ST-LINK/V2 device driver has been installed.

    If you are using Linux, make sure you have permission to access the device.

    Hi Jon,

    I made sure there are no other programs using the ST-LINK/V2 and also updated the driver, since I am using windows. But the issue still exists.

    This is the observed behaviour:

    1. Started CrossStudio. Opened the firmware.

    2. Clicked Target->Connect->ST Link V2

    3. On the Output window, the first time I try to connect, following messages appear:
      Connecting 'ST-LINK/V2
      read operation failed

    4. The second time I try to connect and further on, following message appear:
      Connecting 'ST-LINK/V2
      ST-LINK/V2 device in use

    Are you using the latest version of CrossWorks and the latest version of the ST-Link/V2 firmware?
