Window Docking seems broken?
Hi all,
I have been using CrossStudio for Arm 2.3.5 for awhile now. I have recently switch to a new laptop running WIndows 7 64 bit and I am having trouble redocking windows.
Whenever I move a window the movement cursor appears and the window locks in light gray with the movement cursor stuck. The only way to remove the movement cursor is to do the control+alt+delete. But at this point the window is undocked and I cannot place it where I want as clicking the docking button will lock the software up again. I can use the Window->Reset Window Layout to fix to default, but this is not acceptable.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? It is really limiting my productivity as I am stuck using one screen.
Thanks,
Brad

Neil,
I've experienced this as well with V2.3.5. I tracked down the problem to be one associated with one of several other applications. I can not tell you exactly which applications might cause this but I can point you in the general direction. First, look at your video card drivers. Some drivers have a window / desktop management feature. That can cause the problem you are reporting. Try turning that feature off.
If that does not do the trick, look at any background applications that you may be running that may try to attach / hook to your running applications. These might interfere with the docking behavior. You may have to turn off these application or tell them to ignore Crossworks. For example some programs that do this: Roboform, Ultramon, Display Fusion, etc.
I do not remember the exact culprit on my machine, but just start disabling those background application and I think you'll find that one that is causing the problem.

Hi,
I've got the exact same issue. I am using V3.6.3. It is for the developers to fix but I have a work around that works for me:
1. Click and hold the window you want to move.
2. Start to move the window and everything goes grey and all applications on your PC seem to "freeze". Do not release the mouse button!
3. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL
4. Press ESC
5. Now because you have not released the mouse button you have correct control over the window you are trying to move/dock.
6. Put the window wherever you like
:-)
