Weird text cursor behavior with non-default settings

Hi,

I made changes in the editor settings of CrossWorks for ARM 2.2, like setting tab width to 4 everywhere and using tabs instead space characters. Appart from that apparently not doing what any other editor would do with those settings, the editor becomes rather unusable with those settings, as it will behave weird:
The actual text insertion position is not where the text cursor flashes, and the text inversion to indicate selected characters starts and ends at non-integer character positions, i.e. some 3/4 of a characters is inverted, weird stuff like that...

I don't remember each exact settings I have made here and there...
But if you tell me how, I could send you the file where such things are stored.

  I suspect you are using Linux or OS X and have not selected a monospace font.

  Ah, no, it's Win XP, but changing to monospace font did the trick.
