    You'll need to right click in the targets window and select "Restore Defaults" - this will be fixed in the next update.

    <whew!>

    Incipient panic attack when the J-Link was missing in 2.1 mitigated by timely Forum posting.

    I know that I need to wean myself away from the Segger and use the CrossConnect but it's on the workbench at home and I only had the J-Link here at the office. Back to work ...

    Although this thread is a bit dated I can't resist. Be glad your not using a TI XDS510 $1600!!! CrossConnect is a great deal. Double your pleasure double your fun, two CrossConnects are better than one....

    On Windows with a J-Link probe on the Freescale K40 KwikStiks board, the target is recognised as a K30. Using version 2.2 CrossWorks. The code still downloads and can single step.

    This isn't done by the J-Link, it's done by the target script reading the Kinetis identification registers. The devices in the KwikStiks board don't match the documentation - I assume(d) because they are PK (pre-qual) parts?

    Thanks Michael, the family ID read back from the K40 chip's system identification register does say K30 (2). They are PK parts on the revision 5 boards. Other info for the part (Pin-ID is fine, revision ID = 0). The amount of RAM memory reported is 128k, though the K40 on the KwikStik is a 64k RAM device (in SIM_SOPT1).

    Hi Ian,

    It might be worth looking on the Freescale Kinetis forum about this if you need it to be correct for your work. I put the part detection stuff into CrossWorks because I tend to lose track of which board I have plugged in.

    Regards

    Michael
