It updates each time you start CrossStudio, or if you right click on package manager and select "Refresh Package List".

Looking at the website, this package requires CrossWorks for ARM 2.0.11 or later so make sure you are using the latest version of CrossWorks.

    Hello Jon,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Status:  No success in adding the Kinetis CPU support  package to the "Package Manager's list of supported devices.

    Here is what I tried..

Updated my version of Crossworks for ARM 2.0.10 to version 2.0.11.

Right clicked on the "Package Manager" and selected "Refresh Package List".

    Restarted Crossworks for ARM

None of these steps added the Kinetis CPU support package to the Package Manager's list of supported devices.

What should I do next to add the Kinetis CPU support package to the "Package Manager's list of supported devices?

I guess it could be an internet connection/proxy settings issue - are you seeing any CPU or board support packages?

Try manually installing it - instructions on how to do this are on the website at http://www.rowleydownload.co.uk/arm/packages/Kinetis.htm

    Hello Jon,

    Success

Manually installing the Kinetis CPU support package exposed the source of the problem.   The installation of version 2.0.11 on Thursday was faulty.  When installing version 2.0.11 on Thursday I got a couple of warning messages about not being able to copy a file, do,you want to exit or continue.  Not knowing how serious the warning messages were I chose to continue.  I checked the version number after the installation on Thursday.  Evidently I misinterpreted the 2011 in the date for the version number.    The Kinetis CPU support package manual installation program told me I had the wrong version of Crossworks for ARM.

On Friday I I reinstalled version 2.0.1.  It went smoothly, I was able to install the Kinetis CPU support package and the Kinetis CPu shows up in the Package  Manager's list of supported devices.

It also looks like if a device is not supported by an older version of Crossworks for ARM it will not show up in Package Manager's list of supported devices.

Thank you for your help Jon.
