Create Intel Hex files with non-default record length

I am using Crossworks 2.0.10, currently. I create Intel Hex files as "Additional Output Format". How can I change the hex file record length from 16 (default) to a larger value (64 or so)? I suppose this would speed up the in-the-field update as it would reduce both the data overhead in the file and the protocol overhead (fewer lines to handle).

I know I could write a postprocessing tool to reformat the default hex file but this would only be my second choice.

  There is no option to do this.  If you need to do something like this, then either buffer more in your target system or post-process the hex file.  Downloading a hex file directly hardly seems secure.
