Using 1.7 hzp files with version 2.0

We recently upgraded from version 1.7 to version 2.xx.  We have a lot of projects based on the 1.7 tools.  Some of these projects use processors (TI Stellaris variants) that did not have the processor in the 1.7 tools support package.  We see that the 2.0 tools have these processors.  We have tried to select the correct processor using the properties tool, but the new processors do not appear in the pulldown, just the old ones.  If I use a "New project" the new processors appear in the selection criteria.  If at all avoidable we do not want to have to re-create the projects using the 2.0 tool.  Is there a way to use the older HZP files but "see" the newer processors?  Note that we have installed the TI Stellaris packages.

  No I don't recall that I did (it's been a while). 

  We got around this by creating a new project file for one of the projects, then copied and edited it for the other projects.

  The Target processor is populated by the propertyGroups project property. So theorectically setting this property to the new propertyGroups file will solve this. This is only a problem if there has been a v2 or v3 package released which have new propertyGroups files that support the new target.
