MCU-Link Debug Probe

Are there any requirements for packages or project configurations in order to use the NXP MCU-Link debug probe with CMSIS-DAP over SWD? I am attempting to use one for debugging an LPC54102 and seem to be running into a “Memory read operation timed out” error. The MCU-Link is able to flash the debug build but not able to halt execution to begin the debugging. Thank you in advance for any help or support!
