Using an external diff command

I would like to use the TortoiseMerge diff tool, instead of the CrossStudio one, but I can't seem to get it to work.

If I put "C:/Program Files/TortoiseSVN/bin/TortoiseMerge.exe" in the "Diff Command Line" it starts up ok and prompts me for the files, as I would expect, but if I add any parameters it just doesn't start up.

From https://www.rowleydownload.co.uk/arm/documentation/index.htm I ought to be able to put "C:/Program Files/TortoiseSVN/bin/TortoiseMerge.exe $(remotefile) $(localfile)" but nothing happens.

  You'll need to put the arguments on separate lines

  c:/Program Files/TortoiseSVN/bin/TortoiseMerge.exe

  $(remotefile)

  $(localfile)
