INC File

Good morning,

I'm somewhat new to the IDE world and programming. I've been writing code in C for a microprocessor and recently I found a .inc file. This sounds very useful, however I cannot find much information or an example of how to use it. Can anyone provide some info and maybe an example with the syntax on how to use this? I'm very curious.
