Git integration

For some reason, when I try integrate git with a fresh repository, functionality doesn't seem to work. 

Crossworks is showing that main.c file is already committed, whereas git terminal shows the opposite. 

If I try the "remove" function on the file, nothing happens. Cannot get the git integration to work no matter what. 

Anybody have any ideas regarding this?
