typing character ~ "tilde" with Alt+<code> (Alt 126)

Hello all

Sorry for this ... stupid  question but every text editor I used, allows to insert ~ (tilde) character, by use of Alt+code..... THIS editor too !!

How can I do the same in Rowley Crossstudio (new 4.2 version..) editor?

When I try to press Alt+... something, the result is only opening windows..

  Which operating system are you using? What are your keyboard/language settings?
