STM32 stand alone operation

For years I have been using PIC MCUs. In MPLAB (Microchip's IDE) there is option to operate in debug or programming mode. The latter allows the part to be programmed for stand alone operation. It will boot and run as soon as power is applied to it.

I can't seem to find a similar option in CrossWorks. I am using STM32 MCU for my project.
