CW - Kinetis HowTo?

Hi,

At work we are using the Freescale variant of Eclipse (KDS), and we are using KSDK to handle the Kinetis devices (USB, SPI, UART, GPIO).

I don't get it with CW. Is there any support for I/O other than raw CMSIS? I want just a simple example of how to do simple I/O...

If I decide to use KSDK do I have to port the project from Eclipse to CW, or is there any short-cut?

Have you looked at using MQX?

Its Freescale's offering for a freebie OS (as long as you're using a Freescale device). It comes packed with drivers etc for all the usual Freescale peripherals, and they provide lots of documentation and training video's in their website. I guess it depends on how powerful is the Kinetis that you've chosen and what your project is as to whether its worth using such a large OS.

I've not really used any of the smaller Kinetis devices, only the M4 Cortex ones. They are powerful enough and have enough RAM to justify running MQX.
