Connecting to multiple targets

I have three identical development boards connected to my PC via USB (Generic FT2232 Device).

How do I know which one I am "connected" to?

How do I select which one I want to connect to?

Take a look at the Interface > Serial Number target property when connected to see the serial number of the device you are connected to then use the Interface > Use Serial Number target property to specify which device you want to connect to.

All three devices display serial number "A" when connected one at a time.

The FTDI device will need to have had the serial number programmed in its EEPROM.
