Keep damaging the Crossconnect programmer.
We are using the Crossconnect and crossload to program our units in production.
We have done this for years on a Sharp Arm part and now we are trying to do it on a NXP LPC1788.
We have used a Crossconnect for months doing the development with no issues. When we try to do it out in production we can program about 4 to 15 and then the Crossconnect quits working. We have replaced the 244 driver chip in the Crossconnect and it works for some more and quits again. We can take the board that the caused the crossconnect to fail out in production and program it just fine at the development computer.
We have tried buying a new Crossconnect and same thing it quit after doing some boards in production. We have tried connecting the crossconnect with our board unpowered and powered and have the same problems. At the development computer we have connected the crossconnect both ways with no problems.
So any idea what maybe causing this?
Could we get a copy of the schematics for the Crossconnect in regards to the connection to the 244 buffer chip?
Is there a different Jtag debugger we can use that is more durable?
The development computer is a laptop and the production computer is a desktop. So we are guessing it is some sort of grounding / power / ESD issue but really have no idea. The production location has the static mats and straps where as the development area not so much so if anything the production should have less ESD not more.
Thanks
Tom
