.data is too large to fit in FLASH memory segment

Hello everyone,

I've recently got problems building one of my applications. The linker tells me, that .data segment is too large. When I open the "Memory Usage" view it always says: ".data (load image) 40 bytes used" but i can't see how much of it is used (image attached). For me it looks like there is still space in the FLASH segment. I also wonder how i could change the size of the .data segment.
