STL distribution

I am about to start new project.  I am going to write it in C++, business data maps to OO paradigm perfectly.

Question I have weather or not somebody can comment on quality of STL distribution that comes with CW 2.1.  

Where doesn it come from? Anybody used it in a "real" project?  Known bugs?  Something to avoid?
