Version 2.3.1 very slow to start (Linux 32-bit)

Is anyone else experiencing a very slow start of crossstudio 2.3.1 on Linux 32-bit? If I just start and exit the program immediately this is what I get:

$ time /usr/local/CrossWorks/ARM-2.3.0/bin/crossstudio
real 0m5.347s
user 0m2.174s
sys 0m0.131s
$ time /usr/local/CrossWorks/ARM-2.3.1/bin/crossstudio
real 0m40.471s
user 0m36.723s
sys 0m0.358s

Version 2.3.1 takes about half a minute to start. Once it started it functions normally, I haven't noticed anything wrong with it  beside the slow start. Previous version 2.3.0 dind't behave like this  (my system is Debian Sid 32-bit kernel 3.4.17).

  Question: do you have a valid CrossWorks license?

  Yes I do. I've also tried removing the license so that it reports "No installed activation" and it still behaves the same: 2.3.0 starts immediately while 2.3.1 spends more that 20 seconds while displaying "Creating Contents..." so I don't think this is license related.
