I guess the BeagleBone stuff is work in progress, but..
Downloaded v2.3 and BeagleBone related packages. (nightly build)
Cant build the stuff as is, needed to change the processor type from  V4t for V7A and the target from elf to eabi.
Once again, if this is work in progress then fair enough, but on the other hand, am I doing some thing wrong and it should build out of the box?
Got the some of the examples to build, the StarterWare is failing.

Anyone having more success?

  Not really.

  I already gave up when trying to install the Beagle related packages. It said it would require V2.3, so I cancelled the installation - I'm having V2.2. Since I mostly work with Cortex M0/M3/M4 controller, I do not intend to risk a working installation.

  A while ago I was using CodeSourcery (Lite) to compile code for the Beagleboard (not BeagleBone ...), and debug it remotely with a target based GDB server, and KDbg on the host. But that required a running OS on the target, of course.
