LPC1000 CPU Support Package 1.2 optional AHBSRAM placement?

Hello,

The 1.2 version of the NXP LPC1000 CPU Support package indicates that heap and stack are now placed in AHBSRAM by default.

Many of our projects use this RAM as a scratchpad for storing data and signal processing (typically all of it).

Before we upgrade the package, can you tell me if there is a switch / manner in which we can preserve the current memory map and leave AHBSRAM untouched?

  Existing projects should be unaffected. The new section placement file will be used when a new project is created or if a different target processor is selected.

  It would probably be a good idea to create a project local version of your section placement file - to do this, right click on the project and select Import Section Placement.
