This may not help, but I have for the Atmel AT91SAM7S-EK. The BSP adn examples from Rowley was 100% applicable "out of the box".

Thanks for Your response. I have meanwhile dug into available code for my board and have been able to get most of it to function. Right now I am trying to create a more comfortable routine for writing characters to the lcd.

Great fun :)
