How to connect to LM3M3748 EVB USB example

Hello.  I have just learned how to build the Luminary/TI LM3S3748 board examples.  I would like to from the MAC OS X USB port to the USB Device running the "usb_dev_serial" example.  I have downloaded this example into the EVB and would like to complete the example.  I am aware that TI provides a device driver for Windows.  Would anyone know of a MAC_OS_X-based USB driver that I can use in order to communicate with this example.  I am aware of the terminal emulation facility in Crossworks and the Debian-based Minicom.  Please advise!
