    You need:

To use SWD set the CrossConnect's Target Interface Type target property to SWD.

Both the above development boards list an:

  • ARM JTAG connector (TOP view)
  • I am a begginer in ARM but wouldn't the CrossConnect work with these boards with out a ARM SWD adapter?

Actually, I don't know why they list it.  Compare the schematics, there is no ARM JTAG interface shown: http://www.olimex.com/dev/pdf/ARM/LPC/LPC-P1343-schematic.pdf.

And compare the information from NXP, they do not mention a JTAG interface: http://ics.nxp.com/products/lpc1000/lpc13xx/~LPC1343/#LPC1343

I am planning to use the same lpc-p1343 board but I do not have a CrossConnect and I am developing on a Mac.  I am a hobbyist and the CrossConnect is a little pricey.  I looked at the CrossConnect Lite and it seems like it would be a bit awkward since it has no case and the SWD adapter needs to stick up vertically out of it.

The J-Link EDU seems to only be supported on Windows (and the adapter costs as much as the J-Link).

I currently use a Luminary EK-LM3S811 but I don't know if the SWD adapter works with it.

The Amontec JTagKey-Tiny/JTagKey2 or Olimex ARM-USB-TINY-H are other options although there is no Mac driver listed for either one of them.  Would they work anyway since there are FT2232 based like the Luminary board?  Does the SWD adapter work with them?

My first priority is finding something robust that doesn't require a lot of fiddling to keep working.  It would be great if it were <$100 as well.

    Thanks,

    Marc

A device driver is not required on the Mac for these devices.

    Yes.
