lpcxpresso lpc-link?
Does the lpcXpresso USB interface (lpc-link) work with CrossWorks, please? (LPC111x)
If not, is there a recommended connection method to lpc111x, please?
Thanks,
Gordon.

No, LPCXpresso is not supported.
See http://rowley.zendesk.com/entries/41301-which-jtag-adapters-are-supported-by-crossworks for a list of target interfaces supported by CrossWorks.

Having just acquired one of these things myself, I am wondering if I can snap off the LCP-Link (toss it) and connect to a crossconnect. That is, does the crossconnect support NXP's Single Wire Debug protocol or is that planned? Otherwise, I suppose I could flywire connect to the appropriate JTAG lines as all of these signals are brought out to a pins. Labled AD0-AD4, P0.10 on the LPCXpresso. I am assuming the SWCLK is the same as TCLK.
The Code Red thing works ok but it sure isn't Crossworks!

The LPCXpresso JTAG link is not open. Despite a number of times around the block with NXP on this one, we have not come to a resolution of the issue. I'm not sure we ever will, we've had two face-to-face meetings and two years on it. Just believe it's not going to happen.
The CrossConnect Classic and CrossConnect Lite now support SWD with a free firmware upgrade and a paid-for small adapter:

Hi Paul,
My prototype went on hold but is due to come alive again in a day or two, so does...

Mean that the jtag on LPC111x does not work with CrossWorks, or are you talking specifically about their SWD interface?
Thanks,
Gordon.

That is correct. If you want to wire up a connector for the LPC1100 snap-off board, then that would be supported, but better to purchase something like this:
