Target Interface Type (SWD) Support for Luminary FT2232 USB

I have a Luminary developer kit for the LM3S9B96 device and trying to use it as a debug interface for another target which only wires out SWD signaling to the JTAG connector. The IDE (2.0.3) does not seem to have an option for "Target Interface Type" for the developer kit built-in USB debug. Is this true? If so, will it support SWD on Luminary USB devices sometime soon?

  The Luminary USB Debug target interface doesn't currently support SWD - We're actually working on this right now so it is likely it will appear in the not too distant future.

  I have an EK-LM3S811 and was wondering the same thing.  Can I use it to debug via SWD?  Do I need the SWD adapter?

  Yes, I've just tried it here with the latest version of CrossWorks for ARM (2.1.1) debugging an NXP LPC1100.

  No.

  Thanks Jon.  I bought an Olimex LPC-P1343 board and I am able to debug it in SWD mode.

  It took a little bit to figure out how because I started by choosing the Luminary USB Target and this gave me an "SWD adapter not detected" no matter what I did--even when I just tried to connect to the LM3s811.  I eventually realized that I needed to use the Texas Instruments ICDI target and then I was able to download  and run the samples.
