a more predictable colapse/expand behaviour of project explorer. [Imported Thread]

Currently the project explorer colapses or expands the project tree in a not predictable manner.
One frist step of improvement would be if the project explorer would not by itself redo collaps/expand when one switches between debugger and normal editing.
Then a 'collapse all/expand all' feature would be also very welcome.

  It is SO ANNOYING to have the source tree fully expand just because I did a build!  WTF?

  I would more assign this as a bug than a feature enhancement.  Wow, just noticed the date, 2014?  Really 4 years of this?
