integrated power aware debugging and tracing [Imported Thread]

similar in concept to what IAR attempts to achieve by correlating power consumption to PC trace...however a better solution. 1) it is spotty when it works and 2) it is not integrated into the editor view of the code. Retain the timeline view however. Willing to pay for a upgraded hardware (JTAG/SWD) interface if required. If new hardware is required, consider a "custom" 2-pin interface that can be connected to customer board to measure current in places _other_ than MCU.
