What is a product key?
A product key is five groups of five letters and digits that we use to identify a license purchase. The product key identifies the product that you purchased, for instance CrossWorks for ARM or CrossWorks for MSP430. We maintain records of each sale of CrossWorks that is made, and store information such as who we sold it to, what was purchased, when it was purchased, and what product and license were purchased. We maintain this information in our own records.
How do I find it?
You are responsible for maintaining your digital assets, you cannot rely on Rowley Associates to maintain them for you. Although we do know all product keys that we have issued, we only record information on the last activation of the license and the original purchaser.
If your company name has changed or your domain has changed and you have lost your product key, that is very unfortunate. Consider that digital asset unrecoverable. As you have no records of who is using that asset, neither Rowley Associates nor you can be sure that it is unused.
How do I replace it?
Because you have lost your asset, it is up to you to replace it by purchasing a new license. You cannot expect Rowley Associates to issue a new product key for one that you have lost.
