If you have a username containing non-ASCII characters CrossWorks V2.x will not be able to compile and link projects. This is because the command line tools cannot handle paths containing non-ASCII characters and the support packages will installed to directories containing your username.
Workaround
To workaround this problem, change the location of the package directory to one that doesn't contain any non-ASCII characters by clicking Tools > Options and setting the Environment > Directory Options > Package Directory property.
