I'm upgrading my current CrossWorks for ARM 1.x version to a new build revision. I've seen the Upgrading to a new CrossWorks version article, but I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to the new build revision without having to re-install the support packages?
You should be able to do this as follows:
- Make a copy of the file $(StudioDir)/targets/project_templates.xml.
- Uninstall the existing copy of CrossWorks.
- Install the new build revision of CrossWorks to the same directory as the old installation.
- Replace $(StudioDir)/targets/project_templates.xml with your backed up copy.
- Start CrossStudio.
Note that this article does not apply to CrossWorks versions 2.x or later.
